This bowl, below, was the one that just opened up easily and made itself. It's turned out with a really thick base and walls. It's sturdy, not delicate. (Like me.)

Beautiful pieces! I can't even decide which is my favorite, they're all great. :)

Awww! Thank you! I have friends who made truly *graceful* pieces, and one friend who said he hated just about everything he made. So I'm pretty content, actually, to be sort of in the middle of the pack, liking all but one of the things I made.

Very nice, especially the first bowl that you wrote about!

I like it, but the blue mug and bowl are likely to get the most use. The flower bowl is maybe large enough to be a serving tray for nuts or for a small bowl of ice cream. The mugs(one that's not pictured here) and blue bowl are big enough and sturdy enough for daily use. Which is exciting!

That is exciting!! That's so cool to get to use dishes you actually made. :)

Wow! That is seriously so cool to be able to do that.

Plonk some $$ down for a class at a studio and they will walk you through a bunch of different construction techniques. It's been really fun!

Your pieces turned out beautifully! I especially like your use of blues. They can be tricky sometimes

Aww, thank you! I (my friend) found an excellent studio for classes!

(I think I will re-enroll, actually!)

Aww, thanks!

Looks like I will be taking a follow up class with some of the same friends, so more such photos may happen.

Thank you! I'm really getting oddly addicted to the mug above. Yesterday I had tea in it all day long, and had my bowl of cereal in the blue and blue bowl. It was ... I was proud to be eating and drinking off something that I made,

I totally understand that feeling. I wanna take some ceramics classes myself, it would be awesome to be able to use a mug or plate I'd done myself :-) Perhaps when I move to town I will be able to do that :-)
