Feelings are just feelings. They aren't the same as reality, and they will change.

Fear will blow past you, through you, let it go.
Sadness will drain down and out, let it go.
Worry, you can move forward and leave behind, let it go.

The best solution is occupation: DO SOMETHING. The feelings will do what they do, and then they will go away.

And then you will be there, having done something useful, and feeling better.

This too shall pass, and you will be okay again.

Breathe.

I mostly know this, but sometimes I need reminded. :)

Thanks for saying so!

*squeeze*
You are well loved and you cannot help but find joy. It will be there soon.

Joy IS.

it's merely, um, adulterated, blended, with moments of the other things.

Hug. Thanks for the encouragement.

Oh good. This is very good. I like this. Thanks.

I need to keep hold of this thought.

"I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain."

Exactly.

Thank you for this. It's sort of the mindset I've been in for the last couple of days. I've knitted, crafted, and mildly straightened my living space. It helps distract the brain from the negative until the negative really doesn't matter.

Yes. It's like being productive overwrites the hard drive of worry and fear because I am DOING something, I can see the results, and it settles down the child-mind that does all the worrying.

Not sure WHY, just glad to have found it, and glad that this works.

Great note, I need it for myself, too. :)

Feel free to use it. That's partly why I write: to share something I found useful, or, to convince myself and others.
