Lovely day of sun, flirting, dancing, shopping briefly but shamelessly. Finally got to see a whole Siamsa show. Cute boys sword dancing, several of my favorite Irish dances, either in toto or cut-and-pasted together - Patronella blended with 2 others, for example. Great hanging with Jan, Nicole, Shelly, Brian, Sarah, for sushi afterward. If any of you 3 I just mentioned who I know are on LJ wanna clue me into how to link to your blogs, I'll start doing it. Thanks to Nicole for the brief lesson on HTML after dessert. (Late Edit: that's Jan who is [livejournal.com profile] barelyproper, Nicole who is [livejournal.com profile] ellipticcurve, Shelly who is [livejournal.com profile] laviolinista, Brian who is [livejournal.com profile] groblek, and Sarah who is [livejournal.com profile] kay_gmd.)
Am babysitting Benjamin tomorrow. Mom's offered to pay me for 1/2 day of what I was getting from the temp agency, for sitting for ~5 hours. Nice. I was planning to do it for free.
Must shower. Hot water, meet sore muscles. Mmmm.

True. 'Course, I finally got off my duff & read the FAQ, so I'm a bit better off than I was.
But I want to learn some more about how all this stuff works, cos I have so many geek friends that understanding HTML a little more seems like I'd also understand a little more of how peoples' brains work & how they think & process. I could be totally wrong, but remember Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land, and the bit about how learning different languages affords you a new map of the universe, that you get to layer over the old maps, and it makes your comprehension of the world more vivid and richer than it was before... Worked on my brain for Spanish, should work for this, I think.
