New House... on schedule

we have loaded most of our stuff out of the Concord house (also formerly known as the House on Pooh Corner or the Wisteria House) and have loaded most of it into the new house (I may nickname it the Grapevine House or The Nook, or perhaps The Spa)... we even found the sheets to make the bed (though we left the toothbrushes back in Concord, LOL). Crashed hard.

I was up after about 8 hours, the sleeping nook is a lot brighter than our former BR so I went in search of coffee and something to eat and then back to the former house to move stuff around, clean a little, and bring a few more things home. I let myself get overheated and low blood sugar though and when I got back to the new place in Pleasant Hill, had to take the cool wet towel (that the cats pushed into the bathtub last night when I forgot to drain it, *g*) and wipe down and wrap myself in it. I should probably go get more water, now I think of it.

I brought home dishes and my tea-kettle, found the toothbrushes and our usual bedpillows, and one of my aloes; some other bits and bobs that would be useful (cleaning supplies and scrubbies and dusters/webcleaners and a broom); everything's been out in the car for an hour while I cooled off and got something snackish...

feeling better, should get back to work nowish.

I will try to come out some day/evening this week and help you do unpacking if you want. It can't, though, be tonight or tomorrow as I'm still prepping for exams on Tuesday and Wednesday. But after that, yes, if you want my help. *hugs*

sorry i can't be there to help. glad to hear that you guys are making good progress though!

however, if there's still unpacking work to be done when i get back, let me know and i'd be happy to pitch in (god my arm has been SO much better with taking the last week off of work - i may actually be able to follow up on that promise! LOL)
