Had lunch with one of my oldest friends just yesterday.

Hearing aids 👂
+ everyone masked up 😷
+ lots of ambient noise 🎶 🍽️ 🗣️
= STRUGGLE. 🥺☹️😞😟

Still a good visit, I'll need to do this again with her. ☕ 🌯 🫂

Yeah, definitely squee to see Calliope, and definitely frustrating to miss bits. And the bits I miss are unpredictable, so. 😖

Glad you got to see her, sorry it was so frustrating. I hate ambient noise and often need to lipread in those situations, I can't imagine adding hearing aids into that too! Hope you're able to see her again with less frustration sometime soon.
