So, I am trying to make a kimono out of largest section of denim fabric that I have had in my stash for years. And the goddamn sleeves.
I measured I swear to God off two existing bathrobes that I have, both of them fit comfortably into the armpit I don't even know what I did but just the test fitting I did just now I've got the sleeves attached to the side in the front and I sewed across the top of the shoulders.
should be fine, should fit fine, I was comparing it to these two existing bathrooms that I know already fit me fine go over my upper arms fine. Maybe something about how it hangs just doesn't actually get into my upper arms I'm going to have to literally try those robes on again and look in the mirror to see how they fit and if the sleeves don't fit then I got to make different sleeves! Which means a bunch of seam ripping which is annoying as s***.
Okay. I haven't made any clothes from scratch for years, I've gotta take a break from this tonight and come back at it later in the morning.
I'll workout, have breakfast, shower, and get on problem solving.
I've made historical costume before, and I can do this even if I'm inventing it because I have both more tits AND ass than most folks who wear kimono.
But seriously. Fuckin' SLEEVES they're the WORST.
