Today is Wednesday June 3. We're still suffering under covid-19, and quarantine or shelter in place. There are rioters in the streets getting beaten and shot by police for asking the government and the police to stop beating, shooting, and killing American citizens without an arrest or trial.

And in six months and a couple of days, the USA is having its next presidential election, gods willing.

Here's what we need to do between then and now.

1. Stay alive and as mentally healthy as we can. Art, stories, encouragement, therapy, let yourself cry.

2. Protect ourselves and our loved ones as best as we can. Masks, food, music, hope.

3. Fight back against the upswell of increased fascist activity at the federal level. Learn about Black history and Black Lives Matter

4. Work to get mitch mcconnell out of the senate. Amy mcgrath donations.

5. Work to register voters and convince them to vote. Blue, if at all possible.

6. Identify misinformation and disinformation campaign and share that knowledge.

7. Protect the right to vote at ALL COSTS. Learn about impediments to the vote and where this is a problem, support folks fighting to keep their right to vote.

8. Volunteer, donate, protest or document where you can. Support those doing these things if you're unable to.

9. Never forget that you have the power to enact change. We work together, we can change the world, literally.

10. Lose heart if you must, despair if you must. But not PERMANENTLY.

THIS IS ENDGAME. TRUMP IS A TIN POT DICTATOR WANNABE, AND WE CANNOT ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN.

I’m working really hard on #10. I had already been near that edge in mid 2016, then it worsened, and now... yeah, it’s rough.

Thank you! ♥ Mainly it's about focusing on why it's worth picking myself up off the floor and keeping going. I have tons and TONS of baggage around wearing the body I wear. But many people who have bodies that are like mine believe that this is not a sufficient reason to lose all hope. Reframe! Don't hyper focus on the negative! Go go go!

I know from experience you're a good listener and good company. You are awesome. (Please never forget that you are awesome.)

I think "I try to remember that other people think that I'm awesome, on the bad days. On the good days, I believe that I am awesome." is honestly the best any of us can do! :) :)

You're very welcome and awww thanks!

I've been watching the news as much as I can, and worrying. About local and Canadian issues, because sweet moogly we have them too, but of course about the ones on the American side as well.

Thank you for being part of changing things for the better. Thank you for staying safe.

*hugs offered*
