A quick list of things I learned this year at Burning Man:
* Wear the comfortable shoes. You're not there to impress people (relevant: I have a pair of gold 8-hole Doc Martens for sale relatively cheap)
* Extra spray bottle/mister with clean water is a godsend in the middle of the day it's a fuckin' DESERT
* Feed yourself early and often because there's times when it's too hot to eat, and you're bound to be active as hell out there.
* When the inevitable bad shit goes down, assess: can this be saved/fixed in the moment? Can you get help in the moment? If not then relax and get through it with whatever grace remains, and THEN get help. (I fell hard on my ass off my bike twice, a week apart, that's got to be a separate post if I am bothered enough)
* Kiss your friends more, and hug them too. You'll miss them when the event is over.
* Rest when you need to, go hard when you can and know what's possible, and what's priority, for YOU.

THANKS that's all I've got tonight. More Anon.

One of the best pieces of advice I got as a new Burner was to costume from the ankles up.

Sorry we didn't connect this year!

I've hit the ground running - Metallica Sunday, then BACK to Reno on Friday for Ghost on Saturday - but give me another week or two, and then I'd love to figure something out.
