Yesterday Jeff and I pruned down the wall o'wisteria along the side of the deck because, well, we are having to replace the deck. We also removed the wisteria trellis for the same reason.

*sigh* Tis a chunk of change that fortunately, we do have, considering the wood rot extant in the 25 - 30 year old deck.

My point is, I DON'T HURT today. Three hours of pruning and climbing ladders and shifting concrete chunks and whatnot, and I'M NOT SORE.

THIS is what my trainer means by Functional Strength. DANG.

Rawr.

It's sad to see a good wisteria go IMO, but yay for not being sore!

Oh, the wisteria isn't GONE gone, just pruned back hard to the trunk branches so we can rebuild the deck and then the trellis.

Taking the wisteria OUT would give me a sad.

In that case, it'll probably be back as good as ever next year. ;-)

<3 wisteria.

Very cool. I love feeling strong, too!

Just saying, though, that it wouldn't have proved you were *unfit* if you *had* been sore- I find that no matter how strong I am from one type of exercise, if I do yardwork or whatever that uses the muscles in slightly different ways, I can still get sore the next day.

and it's still fun feeling those muscles doing their thing, isn't it?
Shit, I AM a masochist... =)
