Note to self.
Death and life walk side by side, hand in hand, daily, weekly, monthly, and all our lives. Failing to remember this is one of the reasons why we suffer. I have joy for the engagement and sympathy for the parent's death or the miscarriage. Pleasure in the housewarming or party and rage at the unjustified homicide. The whole range of human feeling. We are complicated. Life is complicated. FEELINGS are complicated.
And that's okay.
Keep it together by loving each other, protecting those who need it, and staring down or raising defenses against those who seek to do harm.
Do the work.
