I am more of a denim girl than a Satin girl. I am more of a boots girl than a high heels girl. I'm not a girl at all I'm a woman, but it took me 30 years to start using that word for myself because women aren't things that girls are. I am more soft-clothes than lacy clothes. I am a modern dancer, grown out of a ballroom and folk dancer. We can transform what we are by what we want and what we do. I am strong and confident where I used to be nervous and shy. What I am is a work in progress, just like you, just like we always have been, just like we always will be.
This made more sense when I started it in my head in the shower, but I'm going to leave it here just like this. Because I'm learning how to be unfinished, imperfect, and growing.
