Am getting my ass kicked at the gym by trainer Tal on a bi-weekly basis. It's starting to show results.

I can feel lots more muscles. My legs are more solid, less jiggly. I'm definitely stronger when it comes to doing any kind of lifting work up over my head, and I'm starting to have more bounce in my step, starting to be able to run up a few flights of stairs with a bounce.

Shoulders have a new resting position, which is further back than it used to be, and further... down. Away from my ears. Shoulders and neck are stronger and softer than they used to be. Which just makes sense, if you realize that lack of use makes muscles be hard in the not-good way. They try to tense up and protect the joints from damage, which in me tends to cause muscle spasms and inflexibility. And shit like I can't check my blind spot while driving because my neck has frozen and I can't turn it to look behind me.

Most of that frozen shit is better now, so's my flexibility. Tal has expressed surprise that I can hit 90 degrees of flex with my hamstrings. Apparently I'm at about 42 degrees of flex (if the number describes degrees?) with my hip flexors, as of today.

Life is going to get really interesting around here in the next couple of weeks as we prepare to move house. I've let Tal know that next week I may not make it to our usual Wednesday workout, since we don't yet have a moving date... though we were hoping for soonish, and before the end of the month.

It'll come. Everything will work out. I'm doing well, I'm treating my First Home well, at long last.

It feels good.
